Dental Receptionist

We are currently seeking a Full time Dental Receptionist at our Floodwood, MN clinic to represent the clinic in a positive and professional manner to all of our patients and visitors. The Dental Receptionist will provide assistance to patients through scheduling and registration as well as assisting with general questions and concerns prior to their appointment. This position will also provide backup support for the Dental Assistant float including duties such as sterilization and occasional chairside assisting. Hours are Monday – Thursday 8am – 5:30pm

Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Answer all phones calls and transfer inquiries to appropriate staff when necessary
  • Schedule, cancel and register patient appointments both over the phone and in person
  • Prepare for patients’ appointments by compiling charts with required information and verifying patient demographic and insurance to ensure billing accuracy
  • Accept, post, record, and maintain patient payments
  • Send eligibility notices to applicable patients regarding income based financial assistance programs.
  • Send and receive patient health information records, and scan documents into the EDR system.
  • Send out dental release of information requests for patient records
  • Organize, order and maintain office supplies
  • Support an efficient flow of the office by quickly adjusting to appropriate needs throughout the day.
  • Provide backup support to dental assistant float including sterilization duties
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed

Dental Receptionist Qualifications:
