How do I reach my medical provider after hours?
Scenic Rivers Health Services has a physician on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have a question regarding medical care that needs to be addressed before or after office hours please contact the number above. If you do need to reach us after hours for an urgent matter, our physician on-call is available by phone. Our number listed above will allow you an option to be transferred to the Bigfork Valley Hospital nurses’ station who have contact with our physicians. The nurse will help you assess your concern and communicate further with the physician as needed. If indeed you need emergency room services, these are available 24/7. For your convenience we are open Saturday morning from 8 AM to 12 PM for acute medical care needs.

ALLISON WEDDLE, NP
Allison Weddle, NP was born and raised in southeastern Nebraska. She worked as a Registered Nurse for five years before completing her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Nebraska for 6 years, and after many vacations in Minnesota, finally decided to make the move and join the Scenic Rivers staff in 2018. She, her husband, four children and four dogs love to explore the outdoors and to fish. Allison provides medical care to patients of all ages.
BARRET WOLFSON, MD
Dr. Barret Wolfson is a 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. During her third year of medical school, she was in Bigfork for 9 months as an RPAP (Rural Physician Associate Program) student and has returned to Bigfork to practice. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the La Crosse-Mayo Family Medicine Residency. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Barret was born in Rochester, MN, where her family still lives. She enjoys spending time outside and with her husband and two young sons. She provides medical care to patients of all ages.
Catherine Porter, PA-C
Catherine Porter is a 2017 graduate of Chatham University’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Catherine grew up camping, hiking and skiing in Billings, Montana. After high school she attended the University of Colorado where she completed her undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science in 2007. After graduating she relocated to Auckland, New Zealand where she found her passion in medicine and completed a Certificate of Medical Sciences at Auckland University. In her free time, Catherine enjoys running, skiing, yoga, hiking, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her adorable corgi, Kenneth, and her husband Richard.
CHELSEA MANN, MD
Dr. Chelsea Mann is a 2014 graduate of the University of South Dakota Medical School and completed her residency at the La Crosse-Mayo Family Medicine Residency. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. In her free time she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, David, and two children, Ezra and Esther. She provides medical care to patients of all ages.
Edwin Anderson, MD
Dr. Anderson is a 1995 graduate of the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Appleton Family Health Clinic, University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and previously worked in Grand Rapids, MN before being employed by Scenic Rivers Health Services in 2007. Dr. Anderson teaches medical students through the University of Minnesota Duluth School of Medicine and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor with the University Of Minnesota Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP). Dr. Anderson is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Bigfork Valley Hospital, and Medical Director of the Big Falls First Responders. He provides medical care to patients of all ages.
Eric Scrivner, MD
Eric Scrivner, MD, FAWM, was born and raised in Bigfork, MN. After graduating from Bigfork High School, he attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, graduating with a B.A. In Biology. He followed this with two years of full-time volunteer work with AmeriCorps in Douglasville, GA before returning to MN for medical school at the University of Minnesota. After obtaining his doctorate, he moved to Klamath Falls, OR to complete his training at Oregon Health Sciences University’s Cascades East Family Medicine Residency. During residency, he also completed a Fellowship through the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. He is excited to be back in the beautiful north woods practicing full-spectrum rural family medicine.
Evan Toonstra, LICSW
Evan graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with his Master’s of Social Work in 2017 and earned his clinical license, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), in 2020. His professional experience includes providing Intensive Outpatient DBT, and has worked in rural settings, providing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to adults and children. Evan has experience and training in treating Borderline Personality Disorder, Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment disorders, couples and family therapy, grief and loss, trauma, Gender Dysphoric Disorder, Serious and Persistent Mental illness (SPMI), and crisis intervention. Outside of work, Evan enjoys spending time with his wife, and enjoys his hobbies including cycling, hiking, and cooking.
Jeff Dahlquist, PA-C
Jeff Dahlquist is a 2016 graduate of the Bethel University Physician Assistant Program in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jeff grew up in the Twin Cities but has enjoyed frequent trips to cabins in Itasca County for most of his life. He enjoys football, fishing, hiking, exploring, traveling and outdoor life. Jeff sees patients at the Scenic Rivers Bigfork and Big Falls Medical Clinics, as well as the Bigfork Valley Clinic in Balsam Township, MN.

Jeffery Scrivner, MD
Dr. Scrivner is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Medical Association and the Minnesota Medical Association. Dr. Scrivner came to Bigfork in 1981. He is a full time family practice physician and Chief Medical Officer for Scenic Rivers Health Services, as well as Medical Director for Bigfork Valley’s Long Term Care Facility. Dr. Scrivner has played an integral role in the growth and development of the medical community in Bigfork. His dedication and commitment to quality patient care is evident to all that work under his leadership. He also serves as Director of Quality Improvement and Director of several projects currently underway at Scenic Rivers Health Services including their Patient Centered Medical Home project. Dr. Scrivner has always been an avid runner and outdoorsman and away from his busy medical practice, enjoys his time with family and friends. He provides medical care to patients of all ages at Scenic Rivers Health Services – Bigfork Medical Clinic.
Jeffrey Olds, MSW, LICSW
Jeff is a native Minnesotan and a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated with his Master’s of Social Work in 2003 from the University of Minnesota Duluth and earned his clinical license, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), in 2006. He works with people of all ages, specializing in work with children, families, veterans, and couples. Jeff enjoys working with diverse cultural backgrounds and histories. He has experience, training and skills in working with veteran’s issues, trauma, substance abuse and addiction, children’s emotional and/or behavioral issues, bereavement, grief and loss, family relational issues, couples counseling, adjustment to life changes and stress, Serious and Persistent Mental Illnesses (SPMI), Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders and Personality Disorders, and crisis intervention. In addition, Jeff works in coordination with other mental health providers such as doctors, case managers, medication providers and related mental health support services. Outside his work, Jeffrey is an active community member with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Bridges Kinship Mentoring. Jeff’s hobbies include spending time with his 2 daughters, running, music, playing guitar, reading, and being out in nature. He also likes walking on local trails with Mya, his Labrador retriever, and hanging-out with his cat, Eddie.

Kari Drake, PA-C
Kari Drake, PA-C is a 2010 graduate of Des Moines University. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the American and Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants. Kari has been a lifelong resident of the Iron Range and came to Scenic Rivers Health Services in 2010. She is currently certified as a DOT Medical Examiner. Kari has an outstanding reputation with her patients and colleagues as she holds a special medical interest in family and preventative care. Kari provides medical care to patients of all ages.

Sabrina Seyller, APRN, FNP-C
Sabrina Seyller, APRN, FNP-C was born and raised in northern Minnesota. Sabrina comes to Scenic Rivers Health Services with a variety of experience including medical provider at an inpatient mental health hospital, critical access Emergency Department, medical-surgical unit, and chemotherapy infusion nurse. Sabrina graduated from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2016 and completed her Master’s degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) at Graceland University in Independence, MO in 2019. When she’s not working, Sabrina enjoys spending time with her family on their hobby farm where they raise horses and goats.

Shannon Pitt, FNP-C
Shannon Pitt has a love for health and wellness. She began her healthcare career as a patient. She was born with a cleft lip which required many hospital stays and surgeries, and those who provided excellence in care left an imprint on her childhood and ultimately her career goals. After high school, she attended Gustavus Adolphus College for her foundation courses, met the love of her life and took a hiatus to obtain her LPN and move to the wilderness of Alberta Canada as her husband pursued graduate school. Upon their return she finished her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Olaf College. She has practiced as a nurse since 2007 and graduated with her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Dakota in May 2019. Her passion is rural health. She adores the outdoor activities northern Minnesota affords, hunting, fishing, snowshoeing and riding horses as often as possible. She has two small children, Otis and Presley, husband Justin, 2 dogs, Riley and Louie, 3 horses, Sugarfoot, Ginger and Thunder, and a menagerie of honey bees and, on occasion, chickens. She is excited to serve the Northome community and practice excellence in care, support vibrant living and support each individual’s definition of wellness.
