Covid-19 Drive-Up Testing Available By Appointment

As indicated by the Minnesota Department of Health, Scenic Rivers Health Services and their six medical clinics are designated Covid-19 drive-up testing locations.  If you have Covid-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell), or you feel you have been exposed to Covid-19 through someone with a known positive Covid-19 test result please call your local clinic site.  Your call will be screened to determine if you meet the criteria for Covid-19 testing.  If you meet the criteria an appointment for drive-up testing will be scheduled for you.  Please note criteria may change based on latest Centers for Disease Control and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.

Do not walk in or drive up without an appointment.  You can only be tested after screening and scheduled appointment.

No payment is due at the time of testing.  If you are insured, your insurance company will be billed.    If you are uninsured, testing charges will be waived as determined through the CARES Act.  Patients will not be billed for Covid-19 testing.

Scenic Rivers is seeking cloth masks!
If you or someone you know is looking for a place to donate handmade cloth masks, our medical clinics are in need. We hand these masks out to our patients while in our clinics to help stop the spread of the virus, and patients are then able to take them home and clean/reuse them when they go out in public. Please call your local Scenic Rivers Medical Clinic if you’d like to donate. Thank you to all the members of our communities who have already donated!

Dental Emergencies –

Scenic Rivers Dental Clinics are open Monday through Friday for dental emergencies (pain, swelling, trauma, broken tooth) during Minnesota’s shelter-at-home mandate through May 13th (original post said May 4th, date was updated on 4/16/20). Please call before coming in or going to an Emergency Room.

Our dental clinics in Bigfork, Cook, Tower, and Floodwood are here to help you with your dental emergencies!

Don’t forget your daily dental routines with daily brushing and flossing!

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Floodwood Medical Clinic will be closed 4/13-4/17.  Prescription refills will be available for pick up Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.  If you are seeking medical care in the Floodwood area or have a question, please call 218-476-2221 and the Scenic Rivers Cook Medical Clinic will help you with your care needs.  Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Our Cook and Bigfork Clinics are now offering Telehealth Services to our medical and behavioral health patients!

You are all doing your part and staying home.  Telehealth will allow an office visit with your provider from your home.  All you need is internet access and a mobile device or laptop with a webcam.  Call your local clinic for details – staff will help determine if your health needs may be met by telehealth.

Special Hours:

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Scenic Rivers is taking special precautions to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.

The Bigfork and Cook Clinics will be closed on Saturdays through April.

24-hour emergency services will still be available through the Bigfork Valley and Cook Hospitals.

Scenic Rivers Health Services is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) regarding health care facilities managing the COVID-19 outbreak. In an effort to limit exposure and risk to our patients, staff and community, we are rescheduling routine medical, dental and behavioral health appointments.

If you have a fever and cough and traveled or have been exposed to an individual with COVID-19, we encourage you to stay home and self isolate yourself.  Click Here for a great reference to help you during this time.

If you have questions or concerns about your illness, and especially if you have other chronic health conditions, we encourage you to call our medical clinics and speak with one of our nurses. Nurses are available to triage your symptoms and answer your questions. A nurse triage group is being established with a direct contact number. This will be available next week with updated information available at that time.
