Shannon Pitt, FNP-C
Shannon Pitt has a love for health and wellness. She began her healthcare career as a patient. She was born with a cleft lip which required many hospital stays and surgeries, and those who provided excellence in care left an imprint on her childhood and ultimately her career goals. After high school, she attended Gustavus Adolphus College for her foundation courses, met the love of her life and took a hiatus to obtain her LPN and move to the wilderness of Alberta Canada as her husband pursued graduate school. Upon their return she finished her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Olaf College. She has practiced as a nurse since 2007 and graduated with her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Dakota in May 2019. Her passion is rural health. She adores the outdoor activities northern Minnesota affords, hunting, fishing, snowshoeing and riding horses as often as possible. She has two small children, Otis and Presley, husband Justin, 2 dogs, Riley and Louie, 3 horses, Sugarfoot, Ginger and Thunder, and a menagerie of honey bees and, on occasion, chickens. She is excited to serve the Northome community and practice excellence in care, support vibrant living and support each individual’s definition of wellness.
