AARON HEASLET, PA

Aaron Heaslet, PA is a certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Indiana State University in 2016.  Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, he loves working in a place that is similar to home.  Aaron has a passion for family medicine and building relationships over time with his patients.  When he is not working, Aaron enjoys all outdoor activities during any season.

Charlene Colwell, MSW, LICSW

Charlene is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker licensed through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. She obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University in 2012, and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from North Central University in 2009. She grew up on the Iron Range and has enjoyed working as a therapist in the Iron Range area for the past 8 years and in the mental health field for the past 12 years.

Charlene provides treatment to adults of all ages, and uses a variety of evidence based therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of each individual including: Internal Family Systems, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Memory Reconsolidation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness practices, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)- for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more. She has skills, experience, and training in providing therapy for people struggling with a wide range of difficulties including but not limited to the following: panic attacks, obsessive compulsive symptoms, unwanted intrusive thoughts, health anxiety, generalized anxiety, phobias, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, grief, co-occurring mental health and addiction issues, life transitions and adjustments, trauma from a wide range of experiences, feelings of shame, self injurious behaviors, and more.  Outside of the office, Charlene likes to stay involved in her community, spend time reading, learning new things, singing, writing, and spending quality time with her husband.

Evan Toonstra, LICSW

Evan graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with his Master’s of Social Work in 2017 and earned his ​clinical license, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), in 2020. His professional experience includes providing Intensive Outpatient DBT, and has worked in rural settings, providing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to adults and children. Evan has experience and training in treating Borderline Personality Disorder, Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment disorders, couples and family therapy, grief and loss, trauma, Gender Dysphoric Disorder, Serious and Persistent Mental illness (SPMI), and crisis intervention. Outside of work, Evan enjoys spending time with his wife, and enjoys his hobbies including cycling, hiking, and cooking.
