Heidi Schminski, NP, grew up in Dayton, Minnesota and now lives in Duluth with her husband and 3 children.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in 2009 and spent the next decade working as a registered nurse in home care, corrections, hospice, and internal medicine.  She completed her Master of Science in nursing in 2023 at Walden University.

Heidi joined Scenic Rivers Health Services in the fall of 2025 and loves being part of improving access to fair and equitable health care in the rural community where her husband grew up. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space and meeting patients where they are by adapting care to fit everyone’s needs.

Outside of work, Heidi spends most of her time with her family, cheering them on and driving to and from sports and activities.  When she finds free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks while building and creating, trying out new hobbies like stained-glass, gardening/yard work, or working on one of her many (often half-finished) projects.
